Drunk Men Work Here

My brain is so fried.

Puzzle

Dear God, Can you hear me now? It's me Margaret

Following up on something i saw in BoingBoing, I drove 2 min down the road to the church that has the CellPhone Tower antenna, Peninsula Covenant Church in Redwood City, CA. I spoke with a member of the church, Jim, who happened to be around, moving some computers to be donated. The decision caused quite a stir, Jim said, but the congregation has come to accept that their church earns a pretty penny for services rendered to Sprint.

Also, according to ZDnet, it also delivers Wi-Fi. "Peninsula Covenant Church parishioners in Redwood City, Calif., bring their Bibles, and their Palms, to Sunday Mass. A Wi-Fi access point--on the church's rooftop cross--beams them the text of a Sunday sermon and an accompanying multimedia presentation." Link to article

some visible wiring...

another antenna thingy, less discreet, right next to it.

blessed are you, for you now have four bars of reception...

the writing on the wall...

Just as a side note, the church also has a skatepark! This part of it was out in the open, but apparently the whole parking lot turns into a full-sized skatepark when they move out the mobile equipment. A quick search on gigablast shows that this ain't uncommon, Planks for Jesus.

The halfpipes have references to scripture on them!
"The twelve gates were made of pearls... And the main street was pure gold..."
Revelation 21:21.

Looking into it some more, the church has its own minister of skate.

Jim had to go and do s'more heavy lifting, they're shipping a bunch of what looked to be Macs. To be donated to some Congolese NGO.
