Just a few ideas for good group reading material. Fiction/Non. Classic/New Bestseller. Grad School Syllabus Entry/Guilty Pleasure.
You just wanna read. Consistently. And talk about the reading with people. Good books without good conversation just seem incomplete. And you wanna have a few laughs while we're at it.
And none of this "read this tome cover-to-cover, and we'll meet in 31 days" B.S. That doesn't work. We'll meet a handful times a month and discuss smaller, more digestible chunks of these great works. It helps to have the material fresh in memory, and it also helps for us to be on the same set of chapters.
Democracy, democracy, democracy, If we all decide a book sucks, we'll stop. The faster veteran readers will be patient, and the formerly flaky readers will be disciplined in keeping up.
I wanna read. So do you. Email and join the growing yahoo list.
